The active ingredient of Feliz Y is 2C-D, that was first synthesised in 1970 by a team of researchers of the Texas Research Institute of Mental Sciences, and subsequently investigated by the famous "doctor E", Alexander Shulgin, that defined it as “pharmacological tofu”. As tofu absorbs the flavours of spices that you cook it with, 2C-D will extend and potentiate the effects of other substances. And even though some say it is relatively uninteresting, other strongly disagree and describe it as a psychedelic of its own right.
2C-D (2,5-dimethoxy-4-methylphenethylamine) belongs to the 2C family that is used as an entheogen for recreative proposes. Research has shown that 2C-D is a partial agonist of the 5-HTP2A receptor and some studies were conducted in Germany for its use in psychotherapy.
Effects
The effects of 2C-D are usually compared to 2C-B or other psychedelic stimulants and to MDMA (ecstasy). Its effects are generally considered milder than 2C-B, LSD or MDMA.
The head space of 2C-D is described by most users as lucid and with normal thought processes. As with all mind altering substances, the effects are a bit subjective, the intensity varies from user to user (and of course according to dosage) and will rarely occur one at once.
Most users report that strong and noticeable visual effects and hallucinatory states only occur with higher doses.
The most common described effects include:
- Stimulation – the experience begins with a mild sedation that will lead to physical stimulation;
- Spontaneous physical sensations described as a pleasurable and comfortable sensations that will reach its high with the peak;
- Body control alteration – at lower dosages there is a increased bodily control , at higher doses it might turn around and it is suppressed;
- Tactile enhancement;
- Increased sense of humour and music appreciation;
- Conceptual thinking;
- Analysis enhancement and introspection;
- Memory suppression;
- Thought acceleration and connectivity;
- Time distortion;
- Colour enhancement and colour shifting;
- Visual acuity enhancement;
- Symmetrical texture repetition;
- Pattern recognition enhancement;
- Colour shifting and tinting;
- Mild drifting.
Internal – more common when in dark environments and described as lucid and interactive - and external hallucinations. The hallucinations have a tendency to decrease and then increase in intensity, giving the users a sense of “waves” or even glowing. These are popularly described as “clichéd ’70s visuals” or objects taking on "water colour" like textures.
The effects start to be felt around 30 minutes after ingestion and peak in reached in 1 hour after taking it. The effects of Feliz Y will last around 3-5 hours, depending on the dosage.
Side Effects
As with all substances, the side effects will be stronger with higher dosages and, probably will not occur all at once. Most common are:
- Nausea – tends to be very mild and goes away quickly;
- Pupil dilation;
- Temperature regulation suppression;
- Increased heart rate;
- Dehydration.
Tolerance to 2C-D is built immediately after taking it. In 3 hours it is reduced but, it can take a full week to be back to normal.
2C-D is not habit-forming and the desire to use it can actually decrease with use, making it a self-regulation substance.
Some psychonauts defend that there are no negative health effects by trying the substance by itself at low to moderate doses.
After effects
The most described after effects of Feliz Y are common to all stimulats and usually include:
- Motivation suppression;
- Cognitive fatigue;
- Depression;
- Irritability.
Dosage
Feliz Y comes in 10 ml bottle that will be enough for 2 light doses or 1 strong dose.
Do not mix Feliz Y with tramadol, cannabis, other stimulants or lithium.
